ICEMA 2012 is an award given as appreciation to the Indonesian musicians who have renewal spirit of creating the musical work with new forms of expression, through the diverse musical exploration, thus offering new options of qualified musical work to the public in the dominance of the mainstream music.
The ICEMA committee collected submissions from bands that launched their works in the period of April 2010 to July 2012. The collected materials then were selected by a judging team consisting of Wendi Putranto (Rolling Stone), Sandra Asteria (Trax FM Jakarta), Eric Wiryanata (Deathrockstar.info), Denny Sakrie (Writer and Music Observer) and David Tarin (Contemporary Culture Observer).
Most of categories were judged by the judging team and the few left categories were screened by online public voting.
LIGRO has received one nomination in Best Jazz Song category for their "Stravinsky" but has yet to win the award.
